Framework for Water-Based Light Artworks

Artistic Integration on Water
Working in water environments, each project is realized as a fully integrated system. Artistic, technical, and spatial elements—including light, sound, movement, and reflection—interact with floating structures to shape the spatial experience, with particular attention to safety and stability on the water.

Project Realization & Floating Structures
Installations are developed and executed under the artist’s direction, with the support of his Studio Malte Kebbel team, from planning and logistics to setup and completion, responding to site-specific conditions. Floating structures form an integral part of the system and are specified and provided by Malte Kebbel.

Collaborators & Commissions
Specialized collaborators may be engaged under the artist’s direction and approval. Commissions are considered selectively on a project-specific basis.

Third Parties — Safety & Oversight
Due to the technical complexity and safety requirements of all water-based work—including floating platforms and all activities performed on them—any involvement of third parties is subject to the artist’s direction and prior approval. Personnel must have specific skills for working safely on water to ensure the integrity of the artworks, the site, and the safety of all teams involved in installation, deinstallation, or on-site adjustments.

Third Parties — Restrictions
Third parties are not authorized to represent, promote, or offer bookings of the artworks, nor to supply, reproduce, or perform any work on, with, or upon any components or structural elements—including floating platforms—unless explicitly agreed in writing by Malte Kebbel and his Studio Malte Kebbel.
